In contrast to Chaos Space Marines, who take themselves very seriously, I think of the Warriors of Chaos as one big rowdy headbanger party. Like a Municipal Waste music video. But to me, the perfect song to represent these ultimate heavy metal barbarians is 'Ravening Iron' by Eternal Champion.
Slaves to Darkness WIP 4: Warriors of Khorne
Next up in the continuing saga of my Chaos horde is my unit of Chaos Warriors with the Mark of Khorne! My favorite model is the one with the shield covered in eyes. A lot of times, Khorne followers are depicted as nothing more than blood-soaked barbarians. Which is very appropriate. But the lack of... Continue Reading →
Crusade Lore 2: Marshals and Martyrs
Inquisitor Grest investigates a central figure of faith among the mortal forces of the Calixis Crusade and gains a deeper understanding of the origins of the crusade itself.
Faction Music: Chaos Space Marines
Whenever I'm painting my Warhammer models, certain songs always pop into my head depending on the army I'm working on. For my Word Bearers, I always think about 'I am Vengeance' by Naglfar. Slaves to Darkness WIP 3: Khorne Knights
Continuing on with my Slaves to Darkness project, here are my Chaos Knights with the Mark of Khorne! Crusade Lore 1: Mourning and Retribution
An inquisitor investigates the unorthodox beliefs held by this small group of Black Templars and learns about the origins of the Calixis Crusade
Word Bearers Daemon Prince
As I walk the path to glory, I have left a trail of dead stars and burning worlds in my wake. The skulls of the false emperor's faithful heroes adorn my war plate. I daub my visage with their blood. And with this final sacrifice, I place the crown of atrocity upon my own head. I have ascended! And now The Great Work can truly begin.
Slaves to Darkness WIP 2: Warriors of Nurgle
In my first Slaves to Darkness post, I Introduced the concept for my Nurgle-marked units. They're Bretonnians who, while on a grail quest, were deceived and drank from the wrong grail. Now they've returned to spread the gospel of the Flyblown Chalice! As you've guessed, I'm taking heavy inspiration from The Order of the Fly... Continue Reading →
Slaves to Darkness WIP 1: Nurgle Knights
I think I'll kick off this new blog by introducing my Slaves to Darkness project. My goal is to convert all my favorite units from the army book to have each mark of chaos. So that's warriors, knights, lords, sorcerers, and so on. One for each of the five marks of chaos. These are my... Continue Reading →
