I've started a small force of Word Bearers to act as the main baddies for my Black Templars. I like the idea of Word Bearers pitted against Black Templars because they're both the most fervently religious groups in their respective factions. It's fun to play their extreme faiths off of each other. If you've been... Continue Reading →
Inquisitor Grest prepares to join the Calixis Crusade on what is likely to be its final push out beyond the galaxy's edge.
Today's kitbash is my Daemon Prince with the mark of Slaanesh. He's mostly finished. I just need to figure out what weapons to give him. The rules say he either gets a sword, an axe, or two claws. I've already given up on making him WYSIWYG. I'll just go with what looks cool. But I... Continue Reading →
My current WIP is my Chaos Lord on foot with the mark of Nurgle. All of my Nurgle units are corrupted Bretonnians. Lord Inquisitor Valac weighs in on Inquisitor Grest's investigation with new information about a broader cult threatening the Calixis Sector.
In contrast to Chaos Space Marines, who take themselves very seriously, I think of the Warriors of Chaos as one big rowdy headbanger party. Like a Municipal Waste music video. But to me, the perfect song to represent these ultimate heavy metal barbarians is 'Ravening Iron' by Eternal Champion.
Next up in the continuing saga of my Chaos horde is my unit of Chaos Warriors with the Mark of Khorne! My favorite model is the one with the shield covered in eyes. A lot of times, Khorne followers are depicted as nothing more than blood-soaked barbarians. Which is very appropriate. But the lack of... Continue Reading →
