Hold up, let me get some mood music for this.
So, this is the leader of my Slaves to Darkness army. She counts as Archaon the Everchosen but I’ve never been fond of his model. He looks more stylized or cartoonish than the rest of the StD line so I replaced him. I figured while I was at it, there’s no reason not to make him a woman! So I did! I’ll talk more about who she is and what her plans are in a lore post someday soon. EDIT: Here it is!

I also don’t really like Archaon’s mount that much. I mean the body is great. But the three mismatched heads look cluttered and their style is also cartoonish and goofy to me.

Plus, since my version isn’t Archaeon, why would she be riding Dorghar? So I changed him into a 2-headed dragon. Which is classic chaos warriors! It really bums me out that chaos doesn’t have a 2-headed dragon in the rulebook anymore. For this conversion, I used both of the heads from the Orruk ‘Snatchaboss on Sludgeraker Beast.’ To fill the gap left by eliminating the third head, I had to do a lot of greenstuff sculpting. And I also used a big spikey bit from one of the Ogor kits. I’m not sure which one. But I like it as a giant fuck-you phallic horn on the front of the saddle. It leaves no question about who’s the big boss of the warband. None of the heavy metal meatheads under her command would dare challenge her.

As I was working on this, Rylan Woodrow on instagram posted their own conversion of Dorghar as a 2-headed chaos dragon, and I’m so mad I didn’t see their work before I started. I would have definitely ripped it off! It’s such a cool idea to sculpt the dual heads as a single head that split down the middle. Chaos is all about gnarly mutations! And there’s even precedent. One of the official Tzaangor models has their head split that way.

Absolutely bananas. I love it.
